The story begins in 2004 with Sylvain Forestier, an entrepreneur, and Antonia Ryckbosch, a nursery nurse. Together, they decide to create a new generation of nurseries, in partnership with communities and businesses.

In 2017, La Maison Bleue has more than 130 structures: more than 1,800 qualified professionals welcome more than 5,200 children every day.
Our nursery and preschool are located in the northern part of Bucharest, in the Pipera – Erou Iancu Nicolae area, within a campus composed of two modern, welcoming villas specially designed to meet the needs of children aged 7 months to 6 years.

At La Maison Bleue, learning and discovery extend far beyond the classroom. Our generous outdoor spaces are designed to give children the freedom to move, explore and make the most of their time in the fresh air.
Our play areas are adapted to different age groups and feature swings, slides, playhouses, a trampoline, balance equipment and other facilities designed for active and free play, naturally supporting children’s motor development, independence and social interaction.
🌱 Nature is also an integral part of the learning experience. Throughout the seasons, we organise gardening activities where children plant and care for flowers, herbs and vegetables, watching them grow and change step by step. These simple, hands-on experiences allow children to discover nature and the changing seasons, while experiencing the joy of nurturing something with their own hands.

At La Maison Bleue Bucharest, children grow and learn in a Franco-Romanian educational environment, where Romanian and intensive French are naturally integrated into their everyday experience.
French is introduced from the earliest years through direct interaction, play, educational activities, stories, songs and daily routines, supported by a team that includes native French speakers. This natural immersion allows children to become familiar with the language, discover its sounds and vocabulary, and gradually develop the confidence to understand and use French in real-life situations.
Our educational programme follows the Romanian national curriculum, while also incorporating principles and practices inspired by the French pedagogical expertise of the La Maison Bleue Group, built on more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education.

From their very first experience of being part of a group in nursery to joining a new kindergarten class, every child needs time, familiar points of reference and trust to feel comfortable in a new environment.
At La Maison Bleue, the settling-in process is personalised according to each child’s age, temperament and individual needs. There is no standard timeframe, just as no two experiences are the same. Our educational team carefully observes each child’s responses and adapts every stage of the transition, while maintaining close and continuous communication with the family.
